The upper age limit is 40.1 years for general category candidates, but there are some relaxations: SC/ST and OBC/RBA candidates can apply up to 43 years, PwBD up to 42.1 years, and ex-servicemen up to 48.2 years. Also, applicants must be residents of Jammu & Kashmir or have lived in Ladakh for at least 15 years.
